OK, is it even possible to 'prove' the existence of an afterlife? Or is that even the most important question here?

Admir Serrano began as a hardcore skeptic, but out-of-body experiences sent him down a path of studying near-death experiences (NDEs), writing eight books, and volunteering three years with hospice patients.

At the bedside, he says, he saw what the research describes: lucid, unmedicated people greeting long-dead loved ones who’ve come to “take them home,” hearing angels sing, and, in cases of terminal lucidity, emerging from years of dementia to say goodbye.

One memory haunts him: a paralyzed ALS patient who locked his eyes on an empty corner of the room, face lit with ecstasy, and slowly spelled out two letters: G-O.

The NDEs and Death-bed Visions only get more remarkable. A dying five-year-old floats his mother to the mouth of a tunnel and tells her she can go no further. Serrano’s comatose cousin wanders the ICU outside her body, tethered by a silver cord. And Serrano himself projects to his sister’s bedroom, sees her head wrapped in a white bandage, and years later finds her wearing exactly that during a migraine.

For him, it all points one way: consciousness survives death. Skeptics would disagree, but host Eric Bennett leaves listeners with a lingering question: what if we don’t have to die to discover we’re immortal?

03 From the time that they pronounced me dead was a good 45 minutes. They cut my clothes and then they paddled my heart. My heart stopped and I could see people screaming and crying, but I didn't realize that was actually my physical body because I was somewhere else. The only thing that I could feel if you could imagine absolute love and peace, there wasn't anything else to be felt. I was greeted by people I had known in the past. I'm back home again. Incredibly safe and felt at home. Welcome, welcome to Round Trip Death everybody. Very special guest today coming to us from South America, Admir Serrano.

47 How are you Admir? Hi Erica, I'm doing great. Better now I'm talking to you. Well we did have some technical issues but we fixed those and everything is working now and it's going to flow beautifully at this point. Now, I know you're from Brazil, but you were telling me earlier that you're in Argentina now. What part of Argentina are you in? Well, I'm here at a job. I'm in a city called Tendil. It's south of Buenos Aires. I'm going to be here for a couple of months. But actually, I was born in Brazil, which is our neighbor, Argentina's neighbor here. But I've been living in the United States since 1982.

32 So I've been living in the United States for 44 years. Most of those, I'd say probably 43 in Florida. And right now I live in Homestead, which is a city south of Miami. It's right below Miami for folks out there who... know the Florida Keys, like Key Largo and stuff. So I live like on the tip of Florida, just like 30 minutes from the first key, which is Key Largo. And then you go down south all the way to Key West. And since 2000, the year 2000, I started having some experiences that I told you. out about experiences. And then I started researching a paranormal phenomenon.

20 One thing led to the other. And that was the one phenomenon that you're very familiar with, which is actually, I think, the core of your program, which is near -death experience. So I studied that as well. And I wrote books about it. I have an English. I'm an author. I write in Portuguese and English, both. originals. And I've written seven books in Portuguese about near -death experience and some other things and my experiences. And I have a book in English that's called The End of Death. How near -death experience proved the afterlife. And that book was published in 2013, I think. Now it's being distributed by Simon and Schuster. It's still It's still available, so folks interested in New Death Expanse, I have that book out there.

22 So we have a real expert with us today, not so much as someone that's had their own NDE, although you've had a lot of out -of -body experiences, and we'll get to some of those later on, but you've studied NDE's a lot. And the other thing that I have in my notes here is deathbed visions. And I want to jump in there because we haven't talked a lot about that. We've talked with on a couple of episodes with hospice nurses and you have some hospice experience yourself, don't you? Yes, I do. When I started studying new death and I had some time and I was very interested in getting to it like, you know, firsthand. So I volunteered with VITAS, VITAS Healthcare in there in Florida. I think there are other parts of the United States too, but therefore in Florida, they're strong in Florida. So I worked with them for about three years and then I was being trained to be a chaplain. And so I was, it was something that I was taking very seriously, but then. You know, things worked a little bit differently and I had to give up on that, but I had amazing, amazing experience with being in deathbed, close to people who were dying and being able to talk to them and see, like as I mentioned, experiencing

53 a near -death deathbed vision. Actually, I wasn't experienced, but I was experiencing. someone who had it, and I was amazed, amazed at the way that I saw it because that was one of the things that I was reading in the book, in books, in the studies and all that, and all of a sudden I have this person here having that experience. Then I can share that here because it was something amazing. I want to hear a couple of them. And first, if anyone is not familiar with the term deathbed vision, why don't you explain what it is? Because it's not about the hospice worker.

35 It's about the person who is near passing over. Yes, it is. Well, the terminal patient, when they're in their last, normally weeks of their life, they're, you know, they're weak. And they're bedridden, most of them, though not all of them, and that's not necessary for them to have this vision. But as that approaches, they start having this amazing experience. And one of them, the most common, is to see someone who died, who passed away in their room. Normally, and it could be in their house, could be in a hospital. or whatever, you know, hospice has facilities like they are hospice, the person in hospice in their houses or a wing in a hospital, nursing homes.

30 So I would go around all of them. And then there's a point that they start seeing someone there in the room. Normally it's a... beloved one, like a wife who passed away. If it's the husband who is passing, children see a grandma or a grandpa, and friends, you know, close friends, something like that. And they're lucid and they talk to them like normally. They're talking to someone. So if you're there observing that, you hear just one side, right? But they're communicating. And sometimes you ask them how they talk, sometimes you hear them talk. And sometimes they don't talk orally, but they say that they're talking mentally. That's something that's very interesting.

19 Like they hear, and I have that experience in out -of -body experience too. That's one form of that we communicate when we are on the other side. And it's amazing that this experience, they're very common in people who are dying. There's this thing, you know, the naysayers, they say that, you know, that's because of medication or all that, or because, so. But the thing is that most of them, they're not medicated, they're lucid. And when you ask them if they're talking to someone, and that's something that's very common, what that loved one is doing there. And they say that they're here to meet me and take me home. That's something that is... quite normal for that, because there is research. I read a lot of research, like thousands, research, thousands of people, and they're all like that. And when they ask what they're doing there, that is normally the answer. Now, this vision is seeing someone like a loved one that is there. There's also pets, people who see pets who that passed away.

34 But there's another one that is very, that's very interesting and normally it happens like right before the passing. Like when they're about like the last breath, for instance, that they see the place where they're going. This beautiful garden and also people dressed in white waiting for them like a welcome, a welcoming committee. And some people they know, some they know, some they don't. Another one that is very interesting and should be very beautiful. And that happens like children, and not only children, but children and adults too. So when they're about to pass, that they ask whoever is there with them, can you hear the angels singing? The angels singing.

26 And they said, no, I don't. It's so manly and so beautiful. And that is something that's also common as a deathbed vision. And then there's some other ones that, that's very interesting, that's called a peak enderian. The person, the dying person, does not see someone who is living. Whoever they say that is there is dead. Now, there are things, and that's the peak enderian for one example, is that They don't know that a certain person died, a relative, like a brother that happened, or a sister that the dying sister didn't know about, that she was dead. And then she says that she's dead. And that's something that, how can you explain it? And there's another one that is amazing. This is the one that challenges the current understanding of the brain. is that's called terminal lucidity. And that happens when the person, sometimes when the person is in a coma, when a person has Alzheimer's or dementia, and some of them like for years. And those diseases, they deteriorate their neurons. So they mess up everything, all the brain connections. And they shouldn't be able to recover. anything of

59 any memory or anything of their lives and then there are many cases that they're at that moment of passing they just come alive again they remember they tell jokes share moments with their relatives and finally say goodbye and then go back to that stage and later passes so you've been in the room with some of these people as they've been passing can you think of any personal experiences that you witnessed and you don't have to use names we don't want to expose anyone's privacy but can you tell us maybe one or two that you witnessed yeah the most amazing I was one night I went to visit a patient and he had the Lou Gehrig's disease yeah ALS ALS ALS and he was like not even in his 50s or 40 or something And he was in a wheelchair, not wheelchair. You know, the type that you drive? Yeah, the motorized.

05 The motorized one. So I went there and introduced myself and he was the only member that he could move was his hand, his right hand. And everything else was paralyzed. And he wouldn't speak, he couldn't speak. But consciousness in that case, and this is the cruelty, of that disease is that the consciousness is intact. I got there, introduced myself, started talking to him, but there's not conversation. I know that he acknowledged that I was there because he tried to maybe smile or say something with much difficulty. And then I was just there. You know, you go, you don't need to say anything. You just be there. The presence, I think, comes. And then... All of a sudden, he does that gesture, which is coming.

04 He looks, fixes his eyesight in a corner, in a bedroom. And he was wearing a hat, the UM, University of Miami hat. And was it the flap here? Yeah, the bill of the hat. Yeah, the bill of the hat was a little... down like a little glow, like covering like this. All of a sudden, he looked and he started fixing, he had his eyesight fixed in it. And his expression, his expression changed. He wanted to say something. He wanted, and I could see all that ecstasy in his face.

50 And then I noticed his right hand going up. Very, very, very, very slow. And then they flicked his cap. You want to take his cap off? So he flicked it. Because I think there was something that was bothering his vision. And he was there. Like, it's amazing. I asked him, what do you see? In hospice, like in that case, they have a... the alphabet or an alphabet board, board. I don't know if you've seen it. They put a board there like on the motorized cart that he had.

34 And they do that for others too who have difficulty communicating. So they're going to say something, they point the letters from board. I asked him, what do you see? And then I saw his hand moving slowly. G -O - And I believed him because the way he was expressing, you know, it was something. It was amazing. And I was envying him. I mean, envying in a sense. You know, if I could see what he's seen or if he could describe what the vision, the vision was. But, you know, I'm sure it was something. Amazing. That is amazing. Do you have one more? Well, I have not that I witnessed there in person, there were others, but I followed several relatives who died by doing Brazil. But I had my like relatives there who were relative to the dying person. And I would say, I would tell them, you know, what might happen. when he died or before passing. And one of them that I was very close, I was not in his bed there

05 in Brazil, but I'd speak to him because he, my sister told me, cousin Walter was his name. He wants you to talk to him, to call him, because he knew that I was doing this research. End -of -life experiences is mostly common, end -of -life experiences, because it's more than just visions. There are other ones. Oh, yeah, there's another one that I need to tell you. Actually, let me tell you this one first, and then I'll go back to my cousin. There is another... phenomenon that has been researched, and I think Raymond Moody was one of the first to do research with shared death experience. And now one person who I have contact with, and some of his people, William Peters, that is doing that research, shared death, bad vision. And a shared vision is someone who is someone that could be a relative, could be a nurse, friend, whoever. It could be in the room with them or in another country.

12 And they have that experience that that person is dying. But this one, it was interesting because it was told to me by a mother about her little son when he was dying. He was dying. a friend in common, and we were at dinner at his place. And then he told this lady that I studied that, you know, this phenomenon. And he knew that she had experience to share that bad vision with her son. So he suggested, why don't you talk to Admir about your experience? He's going to like it. And I sure did. So she told me. That was in the 1980s. They occurred that her son died. He was five years old when he died. And then it was in the AIDS epidemic. And when he was three years old, he received contaminated blood and he acquired the virus. Then from three to five, the next two years, his health started deteriorating. When it was coming closer to his passing and obviously he saw the desperation of his mother because of that and he started consoling her and he said there's nothing that you can do about it he said you know my time is done in the five years old and he said medicine

47 doctors or you you can't do anything to prevent it it is my time to go and you need to understand it and i don't want to see you sad And he told her then, and I'm going to show you where I'm going. That was the mother telling me like, you know, like that. And then in his bed, hospital bed, there was a couch on the side where she slept. Then she said, all of a sudden, she felt this sleepy, but very heavy, sleepy. She felt sleepy and she couldn't control it. So she said I lay down and all of a sudden I saw myself out of my body. I was floating up and by my side was my son floating up. He held my hand. He took me. We went towards a light. And then when we got close, it was the entrance of a tunnel. The typical near death experience. tunnel. And at the entrance there's a man dressed in white waiting for him. It's time for another shout out to One Skin. I've been using their face moisturizer and eye cream for a few months now and really I absolutely love it. But I live in an area with

18 nearly zero humidity so the rest of my body dries out like an old lizard in the desert shall we say. Solution? I just got a bottle of OneSkins OS1 Body Moisturizer. This stuff contains the same OS1 peptide, the same science behind it, and guess what? It works too. It's the first ingredient proven to switch off the damaged cells, actually slowing skin aging directly at the source. And with fall dry weather here, that matters even more. And then she said we got to the entrance of the tunnel and he was holding my hand and he said this is as far as you can go. You return. I leave. And then she woke up.

47 In her couch. Got up, went to bed, saw. the body of her son lifeless. And that was, talking to her, obviously she said that was an amazing experience and it made her accept it. Then she told me that there was some other experience that she had dreaming with her son later on. I don't remember exactly the detail, but it was something also fantastic that she had in the dream state. with their son. Okay let me throw out a question here and I was going to save this for the end but I want to throw it out now in the middle so everybody can sort of be thinking about this as we're talking through these things and this Admir isn't a question for you to answer right now it's a question for the listeners to ponder on and that is what if we don't have to die to discover that we are immortal? And the follow -up question to that for everyone is, how are you going to find that answer for yourself? Now some people will find it through research, like what you've done, and from being around others experiencing these things.

06 Some people might find it through faith and religion, and other people other ways. Okay, like I said, don't answer that question. I wanted to just hang out there for people to take home with them. and think about that a little bit. All right, let's shift to near -death experiences now. And I want to hear the story about your cousin that told you this firsthand. Yeah, the one I mentioned before. It was a woman. The first cousin was a male. This was a female, a very dear cousin. And she went to the hospital for a minor surgery and she got an infection. It was very bad, very hard to control. And in the process, and she was in a induced coma for 40 days or something.

03 And then she came out of the hospital with just one lung, without the spleen, minus two ribs, and some other, and it messed up her health. And three times, doctors called the family to say their final goodbye to her because she was dying. But she wouldn't die. She survived. She survived. But then she was, after a while, two months maybe, she was discharged. She telling me that... The doctor, she said, my doctor. And when I talked to her, I spoke to her twice, first time on the phone, second time I went to Brazil, to the city where she lived and I talked to her at length personally. And obviously the thing that she told me is that she lost completely, completely lost the fear of death that she said there is no death. So the doctor, when he was discharging her, he said, I don't know how you survived. you shouldn't have survived. You can call it a miracle because there is no medical explanation for you to have survived. And then there is the thing that I know why she survived.

27 So, talking to her first on the phone, I called her and I said, you know, I know that you had a rough time there and you were come toast for a long time. And then I mentioned, I said something I didn't want to like lead her on. So I said, you know, that there's cases that people when they're in a coma or lose consciousness, they kind of have this like dreams like things. And I asked her, do you, when you were in a coma, did you have like dreams? And I heard her giggling.

09 She said, I think it was more than dreams. I said, what do you mean? Well, I was out on my body. But what do you mean out? Yeah, I was there in the ICU. I said, in the ICU? She said, yeah, I'd be there walking around. I said, but you were in a coma. How could you do that? How could you walk around? She said, I don't know. but I was there and my body was in a bed. I said, tell me about it. Then she started telling me that she saw she was there. I asked her, where would you stay in the room? She said, I'd walk around. I'd stay close to the door. And then she said, and when the doctors and nurses came in, I kind of stepped aside so they wouldn't run over. She was telling me that. And then I told her, how about the, in the body, how was it? How was it? And she said, well, it was connected, like there's tubes and all the things I've connected, monitors and things like that. And then she told me something that I had not thought about it or asking, though I know what it is, because my own experience, I know I've... pulled it, I seen it. And Bruce Grayson, you know Bruce

40 Grayson, right? Sure. Yeah, Bruce Grayson, I asked him because I had communication with him. I met Ray Nomudi. I was in the IEDs, you know, in August, I think I told you. Then Bruce Grayson told me that he, in his research of people he talked to, there were like two or three accounts of that, which I'm going to tell you later. So and she said Besides the the tubes and stuff and she said there was this Thing it was like an umbilical cord Without me saying anything that came to my direction Behind me it was connected to the the forehead of the body she saw it because as a where was it connected She said oh, it seems that like on forehead and came towards me to my back. I said, what did it look like? She said, it was like an umbilical cord. And I told her, um, how thick. And then she said, oh, it's not that thick, but like imagine an umbilical cord.

50 And then I asked her, what color? She said, it was silverish. Now, in all about experience and in my experience, for instance, the cord, and this is in the literature as well. The cord is thick when you're close, the body, the physical body is close to the spiritual body. As you move out, it stretches to the point of being like a spider web, very thin. And I asked Bruce Grayson if in his research he had had in years speaking about the cord. And he said, yeah, three occasions, three only. And so there was another one there, my cousin. And then I asked her, would you leave?

42 Do you ever get out of the ICU? She said, yeah, sometimes. Because she said, I'd feel my throat burning with thirst. And also, there is this connection, because when you're very close to the physical body, like what the physical body is feeling, it kind of, you have you sense that as well because of the close connection and then she said I would walk out see if I'd find water they said and where would you go she said I don't know but just cross it she didn't fly anywhere she went out she said I was in this very green meadow grass, beautiful, with people there dressed in white and other people normal, like going about their business right there. And in the literature, and they have been studying this for 25 years, the spirit world is not in another galaxy, though it is in another galaxy as well, but it is all around us. It's everywhere. It's everywhere. So you just change dimensions. I say that she survived. Then I asked her, were you alone in the room by yourself in the ICU, besides the doctors? She said, yes, there was four people there, what it looked like. And she said, two were male and two female. And they're

14 all dressed like in this dress, like this robe -like white, like silk. And she had a... Clothing store so she knew about fabric, but she says but it was finer than then silk And and I said what they look like you said all the two men they had like long hair like Salt and pepper like and the women I don't remember exactly How she described the women the women I then I asked her did you talk to them or did they talk to you? She said no But they would talk among themselves.

54 I said, you know what, what they're talking about? She said, I think it was about the body because when the doctors and nurses came to check on her, they would go like surround them while they were working. Sort of like how she stepped out of the way also when they came into the room. Yeah. But she was watching. Yeah. She, she was right there just watching. She was totally, totally outside, totally lucid, just watching. And for some reason, she didn't go out or to the light or she didn't see, like as you've had experience, there are different, you know, there are several nuances to that. But that one was for some reason, that was her experience. And I thought that was that's one of the most amazing. And when you read the spiritual literature, you hear a lot of nurses talking to nurses, especially in nursing homes or in hospice. They tell me about the presence.

53 When I make sure to them said, yeah, this is normal. They feel it. They feel the presence of the spiritual beings. They're working alongside of them. All right, I'm gonna throw the question out again, just for people to keep thinking about it. What if we don't have to die to discover that we are immortal? Okay, are we learning from this? Because today we haven't had any first hand experiences, which is unusual for this show. But most of us aren't going to have a first hand experience. So it's OK to get and learn from others. And but before we wrap up, let's talk about a couple of your personal experiences now that didn't start with a near death, but with an out of body for some other reason. For some other reason, that's right. Well, what got me into this journey, it was, I was a skeptic, a hardcore one. The discovery, it was the discovery of my own immortality. And that was through my Autobot experiences. And I have a book coming out. It's already pre -order on Amazon, no parts are noble and all that. It's called Knights on the Other Side. How I discovered my immortality.

09 In the book, I selected, I don't talk just about my own auto body experiences, but also about research that has been done in auto body experiences and some other things. So I selected about 20 major experiences that I had out of the hundreds that I have had throughout. But the one that I discovered my immortality that I experienced, what it is like to die, is the one that I'm going to spend this. I think we could go with that because there was, and then we leave the other for the readers and for your friends here. Now I'm more curious than ever, but go ahead and explain this one to us. Okay, after I started having the experiences, spontaneously, I wanted to learn if I could produce it myself. So I learned a technique that was like this. First, you need to relax, right? Relax your body first. So I lay down one night, about 11 o 'clock at night, and in my bed in Miami, I had a feeling that if I would do that, try that, that night, I was going to succeed. So I was very relaxed. I was in my room, everything was accordingly, and I started relaxation. So I focused on relaxing my body and all that. And I was not sleeping.

41 I went to bed totally awake. And then I just went into the process of lowering like vibrations and brain waves and things like that. So I started relaxing. And when you are in deep, deep relaxation, there's a phenomenon that might occur. And a lot of people who I talk to, they have had at least parts of that while they're sleeping. And that is called the vibrational state. So you start feeling this vibration inside of you. And in my case, it started down the tips of my toes and went start spreading all over. And at one point, I was vibrating all over. And I was totally calm because I knew that that might happen. So I didn't freak out or anything because I knew exactly what might happen if I would go through the entire process. When the vibration hits, I think, hit its peak, I noticed that the vibration starts stopping. It's like energy was like energy bubbling out of whatever, my organs. And so, and then this energy started rolling up, rolling up like a snowball. and up my body. Then after everything, all that energy accumulated in my head. And I felt my head very like it was like wanting to explode, like a jammed radio station.

12 I hear sounds and wave music. And I knew that that's what, but I was totally entirely lucid. I knew what was going on. And then one thing that I noticed also, is that I didn't feel my body. It was cold and it was like motionless. I was very happy. And one thing that I noticed as this energy rolled up like that, I'd hear like little noises like you're crushing like cellophane paper, the paper that you wrap around flowers. Yeah, that crinkly noise. It gets crinkly.

52 You know, it was something that I think that happened to me so that I could be here telling you what happened. It was like, it was the energy being ripped out of the physical part and the energy obviously, it was non -physical because that's the energy that would form my spirit body, the body that I was going to use once I was out. Exactly. how it happens in your death experience. The body is there laying lifeless for many times, you know, in a coma and stuff. And the person just sees herself out in a body that is luminous.

36 Sometimes they say that it's like made of light or something. And then they go out to their near death experience thing. What is important? Because I was also skeptical, I told you, that was something that I had a very deep interest in. So throughout that time, my consciousness, it was entirely focused in physically, in that physical environment, in my house, in my am, in my bed, in my body, totally. So I was entirely focused there. So I knew from our learning that if I knew when I was ejecting out or getting out of my body, if I gave it a direction, like a destination, I would go there. And I knew I had already thought about going to my sister's house in Sao Paulo.

38 I hadn't seen her for about seven or eight years, and I would visit her. So when I had that feeling that I was going to get out, I thought, go to Marlene. And then I heard this pop here in my forehead. And I was in front of the door of her house, the front door of her house, looking in front of me, totally lucid, totally me, all my consciousness, my cognitive abilities, in that body in front of her door. Was there more did you go in the house? Did she see you? Did you see her? then I Crossed the door Then I went that she had like a little living room that connected to the bedroom that she was sleeping that I went just Intuitively, I don't know how I crossed her the door of her room, too And then I stopped and I looked I saw the bed that she was sleeping on like on a corner and the head or the bed was against the wall and I saw her body I saw two bodies both hers one of them laying down on that bed it had a white bandage wrapped around it and then floating on top was a replica a replica of the body that was there laying on the bed so but the position was inverted like whereas

11 the physical body the head was against the wall. On top of it was the feet of the spirit body, I'm gonna call it. And the head was on top, floating on top of the feet, of the physical feet. Also with the head bandaged and wrapped around it. And then I floated towards her and she kind of sat in the air and we sat across each other. And I kept telling her, First, I told her that I missed her, and I was there, and I kept telling her repeatedly, you are not dreaming. I am here visiting you. This is not a dream. I told her many, many times. And I told her, in the morning, I'm going to call you, and I'm going to ask you if you remember this moment. And it was about 11 .30 in Miami, about 2, 2 .30 in Brazil, because of the time difference. still Friday in Miami, Saturday in Brazil, and I knew that she didn't work on Saturdays. And then in the morning I called her. She didn't remember a thing. And while I was talking to her there out of body, I kept seeing the white bandage and I was wondering, you know, about that. And then I thought about asking her about the bandage, but I didn't. So.

36 And she didn't remember anything. Now, later, like a few years later, I went to Brazil to launch my first book. And I was there in her house, in the same room, sleeping in the same room where we had the meeting. She had moved to another one, a smaller one. And every morning, she'd wake me up bringing coffee. And one morning, she didn't. She didn't bring my coffee. And I was worried. Not worried because I missed my coffee. So I went to see what happened. And I walked towards... there's a little hallway and I walked towards the kitchen and the room that she was sleeping in was on the way. And then I saw that the door was ajar. So I pushed a little bit and I saw her laying in bed exactly with the bandage that I had seen that night wrapped around her head. So, and I saw that she had had one of the migraine bouts that she had had or she has had, because she still has it, since she was nine years old. And that night she was having one of those. And then I asked her, why do you have this bandage wrapped around her head?

48 She said, because, and she had, it was like a piece of, I think it was a baby wrap or something, piece of white, like this. And she had tied a knot to make this a knot here. And she would put it in a way, that that nut pressed against the temple. And then she would wrap it for pressure. And she told me that when her head hurt that much, if she applied pressure like that with that bandage, it would alleviate it and it would help her sleep. Then I asked her how often she did that. And she said pretty often because it's been hurting a lot. So... So there's this thing that, to me, I never expected to see that because I had never seen her with that bandage. This experience is being studied by also University of Virginia where Bruce Grayson works. The DOPS, the Department of Perceptual Studies that was founded by Ian Stevenson when he started researching reincarnation and stuff. and that's James Tucker's there too. And they have a department that is studying out -of -body experiences. So I sent this, my experience, and because there's something that's verifiable, I unfortunately, I forgot to ask. But I had had all the experiences that I verified myself, that I was out of my body

21 and there's nobody that can say it otherwise, and it's all in the book. Nights on the other side, how I discovered my immortality. Admir, please wrap up with this. I love to leave people with some kind of a message of hope. With everything that you've learned, why does it give you more hope? Forget the term immortality. Why does it give you hope that you will be living after this earthly life is over? Why it gives me hope? First, my experience. Because I had, I didn't take it like as being, I went through this already and I had my doubts. But then I had my looking at it and there's no way that that experience something that is my mind created it. I know for sure from my experience, my experiences that life goes on and also all the studies about children who remember past lives, for instance, that, you know, there's things that it defies materialism or defies the idea that the brain produces consciousness and that we had no consciousness before we were born. We started existing as a human being at the moment that we took our first breath. And

51 then we're going to end everything. It's going to vanish. We're going to vanish entirely. Consciousness and everything when we die because the brain is dying and the brain produces, consciously produces who we are. That is a very simplistic thing that all of the experiences, especially near -death experience, death, bad vision, children who remember past lives, and my own experience, we challenge this view that that's what we are. We are much more than that. We are much greater than that. And the hope, one of them, is that we continue living, that we continue learning and evolving because we could be a much happier humanity and we will be a much happier humanity when we understand the greatness that we are, the miracle that we are, the miracle that creation is, because we are amazing, glorious being. When we understand that, you can change your life forever. And I'm working that path. I have been living the best, the most amazing part of my life. Amen to all that. Thank you, Admir Serrano.
