Stephen's Motorcycle Accident Leads to NDE in 3 Week Coma
On a quiet spring afternoon in 2015, retired IT engineer and lifelong Harley rider Stephen Weber never imagined a ride to a Hamptons barbecue joint would end with him airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital, his heart momentarily stopped.
What followed was a three-week coma and a near-death experience so vivid his own physician called his chart an autopsy report. But for Weber, the real story was what came next: a timeless realm he calls "the place between here and there."
It was the first lesson in an NDE that would rewire everything he thought he knew about existence.
What unfolded next was a recursive, aching life review — Weber reliving his own history again and again, each pass peeling back another layer, until his most painful memories became his most peaceful ones.
He stood before his higher self and realized he wasn't there to teach a lesson but to learn one — that souls prepare for incarnation, that spirit never truly begins or ends.
In the experience's final scene, he sat at a sunlit bluff with two old friends, only to realize they had already died — they'd come simply to check on him. When he opened his eyes, his mother was gripping his hand in a hospital room.

03 From the time that they pronounced me that was a good 45 minutes They cut my clothes and then they paddled my heart my heart stopped and I could see people screaming and crying But I didn't realize that was actually my physical body because I was somewhere else The only thing that I could feel if you can imagine Absolute love and peace there wasn't anything else to be felt. I was greeted by people I'd known in the past I'm back home again. Incredibly safe and felt at home. Welcome, welcome to Round Trip Death, everybody. We have a fun guest today. I'm so excited to hear from Steven Weber. How are you, Steven?
47 Oh, I'm doing great. It's such a pleasure to be on today. I'm looking forward to our conversation. I'm a big fan of the channel. So let's go. Well I appreciate you reaching out telling me a little bit about your story and I think we're just going to jump right into it after we spend a few seconds. Stephen, tell us just a little bit about you and then I'll get you going on the story. Sure thing. I'm retired now. I've been in IT all my life. I'm an engineer and, you know, I was very much into it, but now I live in the beautiful state of Florida. It's great. I live in paradise. I come from New York, so it's pretty cold there. Good deal of the year. So I just love it here.
27 I live in a great community. Everybody's my friend. If I don't come out of my house for two days, the neighbors come by with a big bowl of food wondering if everything's okay. And it's just a wonderful place to live. I have a little dog. which I call Stitch after the Lido and Stitch movie and she's a doll. Just enjoying life in a lot of ways like many people. At this point in my life I deserve a rest. You're allowed to pick her up and show her to everybody. Is she handy? Bitch, where are you young lady? I think she's hiding. It's thundering here. So when it's thundering she kind of like goes underneath the couch. If she comes around later you can show her off to the whole world, okay? I will. Okay. Sounds great. Alright, I want to jump into it.
08 We're going to go back just to 2015. You've been a Harley rider for a long, long time. What was going on that particular day? I was heading out to the Hamptons on Long Island. That's like where all the movie stars hang out. There's a little barbecue place that I would drive out to and have some barbecue and go home. It was a spring day, so at the time, there weren't a lot of people around. And so on my way back, the road was packed. There must have been an accident or perhaps emergency road work. And so after sitting there for a while, people were going on the shoulder to make a right hand turn to get out of. the traffic. So that's what I did. And as soon as I got to the intersection, somebody came in the other direction, made a left -hand turn, someone had let them in, and they t -boned me right on the side of my motorcycle.
56 For me, that's when the lights went out. I didn't know what happened. Next thing is, I knew I was laying on the roadway and I was looking up. And some time must have passed because all I saw was emergency workers all around me. It was surreal. And I remember looking around and thinking to myself, This day is gonna be like nothing like any other day I've ever had in my life. And then next things I knew, as I was flying through the clouds, I was going higher and higher, and I felt like this was gonna be it. Like I was dying. And next things I knew, I was looking down and I saw, I started coming out of the clouds. And then I looked down and I saw a big H with a circle on it. And I realized I was being airlifted.
42 into one of the premier trauma centers in the world stony brook hospital university hospital and that was the last thing i remember on being on this earth in the real sense for what seemed like a lifetime but really it was about a month that i was in a coma. So the very first memory here you're talking about wasn't really you lifting out of your body this is you taking the chopper ride okay. So you're in the hospital for quite some time. Just very briefly, I don't need a full medical history, but how badly were you hurt? Well, my whole left side was crushed. My left leg was all... It wasn't connected just by the skin. It was a compound fracture at my hip. The lower part of my leg was fractured, my shoulder, my spine. I had a traumatic brain injury and I had internal bleeding. Believe it or not, that was the most dangerous thing. They had to do several surgeries to stabilize me from that. And I've lots of metal in me. And that's the way it was for a while. It was touch and go. I was in a coma for about three weeks, almost a month. That was when I experienced. So was there one medical event that kind of set you gone where you felt like you left your body?
57 Well, it was more like it was the coma. I was in the coma for a long time. Like some people like they'll have a heart attack and all of a sudden they'll have this experience. But when I was in the coma, I didn't know I was anywhere else. It wasn't like there was an event. It was like all of a sudden, I was just going on with my life. I didn't know anything else was going on, like anything was different, although things appeared to get pretty strange very quickly. But there wasn't one event. The most medical thing was my internal bleeding because they couldn't find it. And that's what caused a lot of the trouble. But what I believe was happening to me is I was going through a death process where perhaps you transition from your physical life into a spiritual life. And you're making sense of your physical life in order to understand what's happening to you. And that's what I think was going on. It's not about the brain being dead or not about the heart stopping. It was my overall state. I remember showing my medical report to my primary physician and he looked at it and he threw it down. He dropped it down on the table and said, Steve, this is an autopsy report. And that's the way it was. I'm sorry.
05 This is not funny, but an autopsy report. Holy cow. I tell you, when I received the best medical care possible, it was. Stony Brook University is a university hospital. I graduated from there. My mother graduated from there. My daughter graduated from there. I was very familiar with what's going on. In fact, the surgeon who did the operation on my leg told me if this accident would have happened six months earlier, that the outcome would have been very different. And I also I was in pretty good shape. I wasn't a teenager, but I have exercised all my life and I was fairly muscular. So my body really took a big hit, but with the right medical care, I was able to survive.
47 All right. Let's dive deeper in. You used the word transition. I want to hear a little bit about what that was like and where you ended up. Well, my first experience in that place was what I call learning the language of the universe. And what I mean by that is that I was a zero on the spirituality scale prior to this experience. So I think what had to happen is I had to become aware of spirituality and that we were more than just flesh and blood. And so the very first thing I was taught was about the spirit inside each of us. And the way that I was taught about it is I was presented with a work situation. And I was dealing with this fellow I knew from work.
30 But something was very odd about him is that he didn't age a bit. And I said hello to him. We were doing some computer stuff. I'm a computer guy at the time. I took care of him. That was it. But then I saw him again and he looked like he aged 20 years. And then it took me a while to recognize him again. And I said, are you so -and -so? And he said, yeah. And he smiled. And that was odd. And then I saw him again. And he was a kid. And then I realized, like, the game was on. Is that I had to guess who this person was, no matter what shape or form they took. I had to guess. Sometimes he approached me as a man, other times as a woman, sometimes as an Asian person, sometimes an African person. He kept on trying to trick me to not guess who he was. And so at first it was like, I would see a mannerism or he would use a word and I would say, oh, you're so -and -so. And he would say, oh, yeah, you got me. But what happened is that after a while, I started to sense him a little bit at a time, like an energy, some sort of energy.
32 And as time went on, we played this game so many times, eventually I didn't even need to speak with him. I could just sense him being around. And I think what I was being taught at that time is how to sense spirit, how to see the spirit in people that were more than just flesh and blood, that we are energy. Then what happened is All of a sudden I looked at the world around me, that place, with a new set of eyes. I could sense spirit in everybody and everything from the planets to animals. Everything had a spirit. Everything had a unique spirit, but there was a commonness and I felt like all of us together, all of our energy. make up the spirit, the energy of the creation. And that was the very first lesson that I was taught. I called spirituality 101, but that was going to be critical for the next experiences I was to have in that place.
29 First, I had to understand what spirit was, and then I had to take that next step. What's the next step? Well, what happened is I had a life review. And it's very common. I knew nothing about this at the time. But since then, I've begun to notice as a life review. And what happened is I reviewed my life over and over again. And what happens is is that I viewed my whole life up until that point, and then my awareness was raised. And I would review my life again through the eyes of an increased awareness. And each time I learned more and more from my life experiences. And that's why being able to sense spirit in everybody and everything was essential in order to have my life review. Because now every situation took on a different meaning, because I could also sense my energy, but the energy of all the people around me. And so I could see what was going on in their minds and the reasons why they were present there. And it just completely changed everything. And one thing is I learned is that the most difficult experiences in my life, not that I led a bad life, but everyone has trials and traumas in their life. those were the things that brought me the most bliss. The most difficult things brought me the most bliss in my life review because as I resolved them, all of a sudden I felt better. Like some people see Jesus or religious figures when they experience a near -death experience.
00 Me, the beauty was not having any anxiety, not having any hatred or towards anybody else or myself. I didn't have any shame or regret. I didn't have any ill wishes towards anybody or anything because each time through my life review I resolved these things and it was like a burden being lifted from me and that brought me true bliss in that place. And if it wasn't for me being able to understand energy and the spirit inside everybody, I would never have had that experience. And it wasn't like I had control over what was going on, but I had free will to think what I wanted to think. The real challenge of it was is that there was no sense of time there. And so at first I wasn't getting what this life experience was about, what I was supposed to do. And I went through my life experience over and over and over again until I started to get it. It was the same thing when I was learning spirit is that I didn't understand the guy kept on changing forms. I didn't understand what I was supposed to be learning. But you have all the time in the universe to work this through.
06 And when I say all the time is that up until that time in my life, maybe I was a 45 year old man. But in that other place, I lived a lot longer. It really was because I had experienced so much and that life review was critical. But when that life review was done, I had another experience. I couldn't control what was going to happen for that next experience. But what it seemed to me is that once I stopped learning in any experience, I was put on to the next. Once I got the game with guessing who this fellow was each time and felt energy then I had my life experience after my life experience and I stopped learning I wasn't able to get anything more out of my life experience then I had my next step. Okay before we jump into the next step I have a couple of questions and comments one is this this game with this person from work I've interviewed hundreds of people experiencers that's a new one on me and I'm trying to process that What do you think?
06 I mean, you've mentioned some things you were supposed to learn about spirit from that. Anything else? Why do you think it was taught to you in that way? Well, because I believe, in my own interpretation, is my experience was what I was going to learn from. And I believe everyone else's experience in that place, in that place of transition, kind of like purgatory, but not a place of punishment, but a place of knowledge. And that I believe everyone's experience is different, but they're taught in a way that they would learn. Like somebody from Tanzania or China with different experiences would have experienced things differently. What I had to learn first was how to see spirit and sense spirit in everything in order to get the most out of my life review. So that's the way it was taught to me. And that's why I thought it was approaching that way, because I knew this guy in life, he was a character. You know, he was from Haiti, and he kind of like spoke this creole that was part French, part English, and part something else. So he had to act things out when he talked. And so that's what made it very easy for me to guess who he was at first.
16 And I think that's why it was put together in that way to me. Then my life review, if it wasn't for that experience, I wouldn't have understood how valuable... the difficult experiences in life are. Your experiences are everything. If I didn't have these difficult experiences in life, I wouldn't have learned those essential lessons in my life review that was going to prepare me for the next steps, but also in life in general. If I can't look back now and think, what a jerk I was six months ago, it means I'm not growing. And that's really the key is that that's what that life review taught me in the here and now is that you always have to evaluate your life at every point in your life to see what you've learned, to see where you are. If you're not making progress, you have to do things differently.
00 I like it. You keep referring to the place. That's not a name. Do you have a name for it? Is it what people call heaven? Is it is it a tunnel to heaven? What is this place you're talking about? What I think it is, I think, I've heard people since then talk about it like as a way station. I think it's kind of like purgatory, but without the punishment. It's when you've now passed or you are passing, you're going through the death process and you are being prepared to go to heaven, to go to the next spiritual place. It's not a light switch, all of a sudden you're alive and then boom, you're in this other place. At least that's what I've been able to figure out. And so it's a place where you have experiences, where you learn and make sense of your life in order to pass into spirit and make sense of what's going on. And I believe that's a time when you notice after people pass, people receive messages from them. And I think that's all part of that process, coming to terms with where you are. and what's going on in what is your next step and separating yourself from your physical existence, but in a positive way. And so that's why I refer to it as the place. I really don't have a name for it. It was never given a name. I never found a name, but that's why I call it the place between here and there. It's not heaven or the afterlife. And it's not here.
24 It's someplace in the middle where it's a transition period for you to learn and grow and and prepare yourself. So by the way in your experience did you make it all the way to heaven or were you in this preparatory place the whole time and then came back? I was in the preparatory place the whole time because I lived and I think that if it wasn't for technology I would have passed and I think that's what your body does in physical and in spiritual. When you're going through the death process, it's preparing you for that place. And I survived. In this place. Sorry, that place. Tell us what else you were going to jump later into a list of some of the things you learned.
09 So you don't need to go through all that. But tell me some of the other things that you saw or felt or experienced there. People are curious about that. The very next experience I had was I was put in charge of a group of young adults who I refer to as kids. And I had to teach them a task. And no matter what task I tried to teach them, they would look at me and they'd be like, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But as soon as I would leave, they would scatter and they wouldn't do anything. And then I'd see them later and they would look at me like nothing's wrong. And I'd be like, come on, guys, what's going on? And I start to feel like I just couldn't figure out what was going on. No matter what I tried, you know, red team, blue team, because they never understood that like they did anything wrong.
55 And so when I was at my wit's end is I stood before eventually what I understood to be my higher self. And it wasn't that I talked to my higher self. It was that just standing in the energy and the grace is that all of a sudden I looked at everything around me with a new set of eyes and I understood things in a different way. And what I understood was that I wasn't there to teach these kids this task i was there to help prepare them for their first human incarnation and i was failing at that because all i saw was dopey kids i didn't i went through all these experiences very long life review and guessing understanding spirit and everything and i didn't use any of that i was very ignorant to that and once i understood that And that taught me so much. We'll go into it later, but at the very least, it taught me that perhaps your spirit grows through many different types of incarnations.
54 And once I got it, then the experience stopped. And then I was presented with my final experience in that place. Let's hear that one. Well, what happened was, is that all of a sudden I was sitting at this place, which In my hometown where i grew up we call the bluff we overlook the long island sounds and everyone gather at the end of every day and we talk about all the town gossip like who's doing who and you know and some people would drink coffee other people drink from red solo cups and just talk about the day and i would sit there with these two friends of mine and i look at the sunset everyday but after going through this i don't know thousands of times with them. I realize that both of them. my dear friends had passed earlier that year. And up until this point, for some reason, it didn't occur to me that I was anywhere else. I don't know. The thought didn't come to me or maybe I just don't know. I don't know why I felt this.
51 But as I sit there with my two friends is that I thought to myself, I want to ask them why they are here. But I don't know. I just didn't want to ask them. And it went time and time. We went over that and each time it got more intense that i want to ask them each sunset i want to ask them what they were doing here and then finally i got the feeling that if i didn't ask them this time i would never get the opportunity again. What they told me is that they were here to make sure i was okay. And i really i didn't know this i didn't have any memory of an accident or anything i didn't know just go to my mind you know like.
32 I'm fine. And what are you doing here? You've passed. And then as we watched the sun, the sun got brighter and brighter, as opposed to getting dimmer with the sunset. And I closed my eyes. And then when I opened my eyes, I was in my hospital room. And my mother was holding my hand telling me I was in a terrible accident, but I would be okay. And that was My experience in that place is a very intense experience of learning and understanding things. Like I had mentioned, I was a zero on the spirituality scale. And when I came out of this, I don't know, I was shell shocked and I didn't believe it was a real experience for the longest time. I just thought it was the drugs, you know, they gave me and have an active imagination. But as time went went on and I explained that more in the book about coming to the realization.
22 that yes, it was an intense experience and I learned so much of it that was going to prepare me for what it was yet to come. That was my trip to that place, but there was a long recovery. I learned so many things about the recovery. You get more of it in the book, but it's something that completely changed my life in such a positive way. It really was. I wouldn't be enough to face what it was yet to come without having had that experience. Let me ask you to speculate just a little bit. Other people that have had near -death experiences, some really feel like they went to heaven. Maybe that's because of what they saw, very heavenly things for people, very heavenly people they met and ancestors and things like that. Do you think, because your experience was a little different than that, everybody having a near -death experience is just going to this preparatory place, that place, that you did?
17 Or do you think maybe some go beyond or... Go ahead and guess. Well, it would be a guess. And what I would say is that I think everyone has to be prepared for going into Spirit. I do. But... that's that's steven's opinion because without that experience i wouldn't have known maybe if you were in heaven or the other place where we're going to spend eternity or whatever you believe you know maybe they learn it there but that wasn't like it for me is that i learned it in this free place and i value that experience greatly if it wasn't for that No, no, it was so essential to me. And that could be why I experienced maybe to somebody who lived a spiritual life, it wouldn't have been necessary. It's kind of like a preparatory school, you could think of it, you know, I had to be prepared for what's coming. How did it change you? Well, I already alluded to one thing is that I now use a life review in my life all the time, and that helps me to be a better person.
15 But what was very difficult afterwards is my son passed away. And he passed away from a drug overdose. And it was, you know, obviously it was such a devastating thing. I was a full -time dad. I really put all my effort into it. It came so quickly. It wasn't like it was this long drawn out thing. And I had to make sense of what had gone on. And eventually I was able to make sense of it. I had this dream that my son had come to me and everything was all right. And then when I woke up, all of a sudden, it wasn't like the grief was totally gone, but all of a sudden, Everything was okay then and I realized that perhaps he was in that place and he was learning and going through some of the same experiences or similar experiences that I had and he was feeling that bliss and everything would be okay.
04 And since I had been before my higher self, I assume that that would be the same thing for him. And perhaps when we met again, it would be not as Stevie Weber, the IT guy, or Nick as a son, it would be in our higher selves, everything would make sense then. And that brought me a lot of peace. And so that was one of those things that just, if it wasn't for having that near -death experience and gaining that wisdom, it wasn't even the experience, it was the wisdom that I gained that really helped me face that and other things which were yet to come. It was so critical. Well, I'm sorry about your loss. I'm glad this helped you prepare. How old was your son? He was 20 years old. He was a championship wrestler on a D1 scholarship to an engineering school. It just happened so fast. It really did.
57 But it also taught me a very valuable lesson. And what I mean by that is years prior is I witnessed this crazy accident where a little girl was killed and a limo driver was killed. A gentleman was driving the wrong way on the highway and I testified in that trial and it was a very, very big event because he was being charged with murder. He was eventually convicted of it. And the parents were heartbroken and they really had a lot of... Obviously, they were heartbroken. They were very angry at the defendant. And I saw that up close and it made sense to me, obviously. But they caught the gentleman who had sold my son the drugs and I went to his trial and I was ready with hatred in my heart and the anger. But I couldn't have hatred. I couldn't have hatred.
45 All I saw was a drug addicted kid. And what this had taught me, this whole journey, is that I'm certain that had to have been in my life review. And I learned all those lessons. When I was put in the same situation, I could do nothing else but forgive. And before I even met the fellow, he didn't even have to be sorry. Forgiveness was all that I could give. And that I hoped things would be better for him. And so that's what this thing taught me. It taught me the true meaning of forgiveness and not as a virtual. I'm not a virtuous person. I'm a pleasure maximizing a Harley rider who dresses up in white clothing and meditates now. But it really was the truth is that it taught me the meaning of forgiveness when there's nothing else you can do because that's what makes sense. I don't know how to explain it any more than that, but it's true.
36 Forgiveness is the key, not only for other people, but for yourself. I'm going to explain it like this. Your heart was changed. Does that sound accurate? Very much. And I wasn't a bad person. You know, for somebody to be hateful towards somebody who helped contribute to your son's death, you know, to be hateful of that, that's a normal thing. Most people would feel that. But no, it changed my heart. But it also opened my eyes to what's real and what isn't real. And that's the key, is that we're all here to experience life, and to learn from it, and to grow from it, and to exercise it in the here and now. Because when I had my life experience, excuse me, my life review, if I had no experiences to draw upon, I wouldn't have learned anything. Like some people can go on a mountain, go home all day, and that'll be their fulfillment in life.
29 And that may be so for them. But really is to live life is to make mistakes and be given the freedom to make mistakes and to learn from them And if you don't learn from them now You'll learn from them in the other place and and that's beautiful because that will bring you bliss if you can do it here You'll find bliss in this world or any other world that comes after I believe that strongly and the wisdoms coming at us fast and furious today everybody Hey, you wrote a couple of books because of your experience. The first one was called The Place Between Here and There, and you have a new one out called The Lessons Learned Between Here and There. You sent me a list of these 12 lessons. We don't have time to spend time on all of them, but I want to ask you about a couple of them, okay? Very well.
16 May I just mention one other thing? Is that when we reviewed my life experience and the trip to the place between here and there. In the book, I go into a lot more details because we only have a certain amount of time, but I kind of like breeze through some really critical points. So if you're interested, it's something I recommend because it'll really add additional life because there's so many things I learned from that experience. And so I just want to share that, but please go ahead. Here's the first one, everything has a spirit, and you kind of touched on this earlier, but I think this is something that we need to just think about a little bit more. When you say everything, I assume you're talking people, animals, trees, grass, the earth itself, planets in the universe. Go ahead and expound a little on that. Okay, first I'll make this statement is, from my experience, I believe that the Creator and the creation are one. Okay, that was the next one I was going to get to. Okay. And I do have questions about that. So we're going to come back to that one. So absolutely. So if you take a rock and you put it in outer space, and you give it the proper circumstances, and you wait four billion years and you come back to that rock, there'll be life on that planet. And I'm not talking about like pond scum. I'm talking about intelligent life. They've had their Gandhi's and their pole pots, and they're still waiting 20 years until fusion energy is going to come.
42 And science will say that that's evolution. And what I'll say is that's the spirit everywhere. And both things are true. There is spirit in everything that's around us. How could that happen? How did we happen? That's what I believe is that, and from what I learned there is that evolution is just the creation in slow motion in people's time. We are all that energy and we're here to learn and grow from that experience. And so no matter where we are, given the right circumstances, life will create. And that's what energy is. That is what the Holy Spirit is, our souls. All right, let's get to the one you mentioned. The creator and the creation are one. A lot of people are going to say, whoa, blasphemous statement here, Stevie. So please explain. Well, first off, what I say in the book is that this is a free, free thought zone. And that's really important is that you have to be able to make mistakes and learn and grow from it. And so I really, I exercise my free thought and so I don't. want to tell anybody what they believe is wrong. I bring up many, many instances throughout history, throughout spiritual books and religious books that we all read, the Creator and the Creation are one. So the question is, are you saying that everybody is God and created themself? No, no.
07 That's where people are going to freak out. I'm trying to tiptoe around these things. Don't tiptoe on this show. Just say it what you think. Great okay i believe that god and we are one that all of us together all of our energy together makes up the creator is not any one person is the creator someone jesus says he and god are one he's not saying he's god at least in my opinion he's showing that fact what i believe is that we all together everything the planets all make up the creator. If you talk about the big bang or let there be light it both says the same thing from a single source everything you see is created so if you believe in the big bang which i do everything came from a singularity and then everything you see was from that. That's the creation and so everything we see. Is from that singularity and what i'm saying is that singularity is the creator that is god and we. are all part of that and perhaps as we learn and grow so does the creator learn and grow and that's why we're here to learn and grow and build our own wisdom as we learn and grow and build wisdom the creator grows and learns think of all the people here all the things that happen i don't believe there's a hand there that goes and disrupts things the stage is set and we're here to learn and grow. And that's why I believe that the Creator and the creation are one. And I go into details about different spiritual books from philosophers or everybody.
41 There are so many examples of how it alludes to this. And it was when I began to sense the energy in everybody and everything that I came to understand this. All right, next up, The Spirit Has Always Existed. well when we talk about the creation what come before the creation you know is that is that what was that the beginning of time we don't know but just as time goes in ahead of us as infinity and we're okay with that idea that time will always exist time will go forward it also goes backwards into infinity and so as we take a look at our spirits in the universe there was existence before that i believe and so if your spirit If everything was created in this go -round from the Big Bang or the creation, your spirit has always been there. There was never nothing. And that I believe that your spirit grows through different experiences in life and through many different incarnations. We'll get into that later. But yes, it wasn't that your spirit was born at any time like in 1920, you weren't, you were nothing. No, no, you were all part of the universe, but just in a different form. Well you also said earlier there is no time in that place. So let's try to erase time from this equation. And our little human brains have a really hard time doing that. And I had a conversation with somebody recently, we have very different religious backgrounds, and he was explaining how no we did not exist at all
13 until we came here. That doesn't ring true with me. The fact that we have existed before we came here does in what form? Well, we don't know a whole lot about that and that's okay. There is also quantum physics that would make a good explanation for that same kind of theory. I'm going to leave it at that. We're not going to get everybody to agree today. I would just like to add one more thing to it is that I agree with the, you know, parts of that with time and that Time didn't move there. The only way that time moved there was as you learned and grew because that you could see the path way how you learn to come to the current understanding and that gave you that growth path gave you a sense of time. If you weren't growing things move very slowly things just didn't happen. It was that learning process which gave you a sense of time. Just a couple more is all we have time for. Number six you can connect with those in spirit. I believe that.
13 But I don't know how to do it very well. How do we do that? Well, there are many different ways of connecting in spirit and sometimes it's initiated by you or sometimes it's initiated through spirit signs and synchronicities that you experience. And I'll give you one example is that one day myself and a friend of mine, we were walking on the beach and she was a big saints person. You know, she prayed to saints and she was praying to Saint Germain, the violet flame. It was during the health crisis. We were all experienced. So she was praying that everyone would make it through and be better. So if it wasn't for her, things would be a lot worse. But but what she wanted to do was find a piece of violet beach glass as a sign that the saints.
55 Jermaine had heard her. No matter what she did, she couldn't find it. And you were not going to find violet beach glass on the shores of Long Island. It's just not going to happen. And so as we were walking back, you know, she had the pouty face on. And then all of a sudden I was thinking of what I should tell her to make her feel better. All of a sudden this Dalmatian, one of those white dogs with black spots, a little puppy comes running from behind the sand dunes, starts jumping all over us and I'm petting the dog and we're wondering where the parent is and the parent comes from behind the sand dunes and she's running and she's saying, oh, we're sorry, I'm sorry. And then we were okay because we love dogs. And so my friend asked, what's a dog's name? And she said the dog's name is Violet.
37 It just caused us to pause for a second. My friend Cathy, she didn't get it at first. But I got it right away. She was looking for violet beach glass. She didn't see violet beach glass. She got a violet, a dog named Violet, a dog that looks nothing like a dog that should be named Violet. So that was it. We said goodbye. And I was talking to my friend. I said, that's not, how does that happen? That is so strange. And I said, we have to see that lady again. So we go walking down the beach a few more times, about a month later, and we see the lady again. And we go running up to her and we said, why is that dog named Violet? And she says, well, her and her son, their favorite movie was Gone with the Wind and Scarlett O 'Hara at one point wore a violet dress and that was kind of like their movie. So she named the dog Violet and spelled it the way Scarlett spells her name. And then she told me that her son had died. We became very good friends and and we talked about our sons. How does that happen? Does that happen by accident or did her son and my son bring us together? Because we still had to come into terms with things and it was all because of a dog named Violet. And that's the way, that's one of the ways that spirit will speak to you is that it'll set circumstances under which you'll learn things and then you'll feel and sense the sign of spirit helping you. And that would be one example. And there are many other different ways, like you'll see a sign. I know my mom told me after my father died, all of a sudden all the lights in the house
08 were turning off by themselves. The computer was turning off and she often mused that that's what my father would do. He didn't want to waste electricity, so he would turn everything off. Just small signs like that that give you an idea that perhaps there are people are trying to reach to you from Spirit, especially people who have recently passed, who are still in that place between here and there, and are coming to terms with things, and they don't want you to suffer. That's what I believe. And so, yes, yes, I think Spirit does speak with you. Spirit does want to help you, especially your loved ones who have passed. That's that story. Yeah, that's good stuff. I just wish it was easier. I tell you, I enjoy every day. I really do. I just wish I could say, hey, Mom, who passed a couple of years ago, Let's have a chat today, a real chat. Don't just send me a Dalmatian. I want to sit down and have a chat, but that's okay. We can live without some of that. Well, it's a tough thing because like I've gone to mediums and I haven't told them that my son had passed and I've only been to a few, but no one ever brings that up.
14 Like, I don't know, maybe it's difficult to connecting with me in that way, or maybe I just saw the wrong mediums, but The real point of it is that everyone has their own way of receiving messages and that once you show that you're open to it and that you will hear the messages, it seems like they come more often because they know you're going to hear it. And so if you start opening up your eyes, you don't go woo woo woo like, oh, there's a hummingbird from Grandma. If you just try to look for why you're receiving this message at this time, I think it's going to open up the gates. That's just my opinion but there are many different ways and it's all a wonderful thing. All right, very last thing. Love is the ultimate intelligence in life and I want you to explain that and I want to leave on this topic because this is what the show is all about but I may rephrase it in a minute so go ahead and explain. What i've come to learn is that love can be enabling you can because you love somebody or something you can enable them to do terrible things are things that just unconstructive towards themselves love is like being a steward to understanding things to know all that's involved in these situations and be able to care for somebody and express it in a way that will be helpful and so when you talk about even the. the growth of a spirit over time. What makes a dog, a mother dog, care for its puppies more than itself? Will fight, kill, or die for them? Why? Well, that's love.
48 It's smart because it's taking care of its children. And so when you take a look at love, it has to be smart. It has to do the right things. And so the more you understand the world and everything's around and spirit and physical, you can express your love in a positive way to those people around you and even to those people you don't know. Because even when I was confronted with that young fellow who sold my son the drugs is that I felt nothing but love for him because I wanted things to be better for him. I knew that he couldn't go on doing the things he's doing, and that was the smart part of the love. And I knew he had to perhaps receive the consequences of his actions.
28 Perhaps that's the smart part of the love. But to hope and to perhaps help at some time, to help them take that next step to make a better life for them, that's what I mean. Love isn't reactive. It's not the warm and fuzzy is our important doorway to love. But love is the most important part of why we existed. I see the wisdom in it. I'm going to just add something to this, if you don't mind. From love is the ultimate intelligence in life, I want to say love is the ultimate power of the universe. I think it's what everything revolves around. It's the gravity that holds it all together. Love is what makes God, God. Love is why we do the majority of things in this life. Those that we would say are off track or are led by Satan or devil or whatever you want to call it are acting more out of hatred than out of love. Let's get back to love. Gee, I can hear a Beatles song about to play right now in the back of my head. And I'm sorry to be so sound so trite. No, I mentioned that that was that was an important time in our human existence.
38 For the first time, we were able to to communicate around the globe. And what was the first thing that came was John Glennon singing, you know, you know, all you need is love. All you need is love. And my friend Cathy, who I wrote the book with, she tells a story about her mother coming to her and Cathy wanted to know what she had to do in order to be with her in the future, like what religion should she do or how she should behave. And her mother said to her in this dream that it's all about love, it's all about learning. why love is the way, why it's over hatred, over revenge, over grief, over everything. If you replace all those emotions with love, you'll understand the true meaning of life and you'll find peace in this world and any other world that comes afterwards. And I believe that so.
